Life Painting at Central St. Martins

Do you carry a sketchbook or watercolours with you everywhere?

Do you feel more at home with a paintbrush in your hand than a pen? Do you wander galleries hoping that one day your work will be showcased on their walls? On this brilliant foundation course in life drawing and painting, you will work with professional artist Anne Noble-Partridge from London Drawing (www.londondrawing.com). You will sketch directly from a life model, using a range of materials, whilst being assisted by step-by-step demonstrations and examples. To help you produce sophisticated, fluid and life-like drawings, you will learn about the human anatomy to understand the mechanical movement of the body. You will then develop these skills further, using acrylic and oil paints to add colour and texture. If you're looking to expand your portfolio and increase your chances of an art college place, this is a course for you. Some places are reserved for students who meet any of the following criteria (please indicate on your application if you are eligible): neither parent attended university, or you are or have been in local authority care, or you are a young carer, or have a disability affecting your studies, or are eligible for free school meals.
