Arabic Calligraphy

Discover the beauty and artistry of Arabic calligraphy in this engaging beginner-friendly workshop.

We will begin with a brief introduction to the history of Arabic calligraphy, exploring the different styles that have evolved over time and the traditional materials used by calligraphers. Perfect for complete beginners, no prior knowledge of Arabic or calligraphy is required.

Participants will start with simple patterns and exercises before progressing to forming letters and words. Drawing inspiration from the British Museum’s iconic Islamic World Gallery, you will have the opportunity to create a book-mark or card with your name by the end of the day.
