Hands-on Mosaic Making
Mosaic art may date back to the 3rd Millennium, BCE but it still surrounds us today.
Boasts some of the most spectacular pieces of public art in the world, from Eduardo Paolozzi's ultra-modern interpretation of mechanisation, urbanisation, and popular culture in Tottenham Court Road Station to Gaudi's combination of modernism and mixed media at The Park Gell in Barcelona.
Learn from an experienced, professional mosaic artist who has created and restored mosaics both in the UK and abroad. Explore the beautiful Lauderdale House and grounds for inspiration or fashion your own design from the ancient world or the modern. All equipment and materials, including stone, glass and ceramic pieces, will be supplied.
