The Art of Ancient Egypt

Over two days, you'll get inspired by the Egyptian galleries at the British Museum.

We'll explore the displays - including mummies, sculptures, hieroglyphics and maybe even see the iconic Rosetta Stone. Back in the studio, we'll have a go a recreating some of the artefacts, using traditional and more modern materials. You can build pots from clay, make plaster casts and use papyrus paper. This is a creative class, and may get messy so don't wear your best clothes. If you love mummies and ancient Egypt, this is the workshop for you.
