Film Project for young people with autism and Asperger's Syndrome
Create animated films using a mixture of locations, objects, cut-outs and special effects to develop your creative ideas.
The film will be inspired by the 'Animals: Art Science and Sound' exhibition at the British Library. The course will include tours of the exhibition and library building.
You will use specialist equipment and be tutored by award-winning film-maker Suzanne Cohen. This course is supported by NHS Speech and Language Therapists throughout the week.
You will be involved in every stage of the creative process from storyboarding to designing characters, camera work and editing. You will need to attend every day to complete the project and will work together as a team to bring your ideas to life.
The final films will be screened as part of the Camden Summer University Young People's Film Festival at the British Museum on Friday 25 August.
Please contact NHS Speech and Language therapist, Charlotte if you would like to be considered for a place, by emailing charlotte.brassett@nhs.net as you cannot book for this course on this site.
