Black British History - Spoken word

Are you interested in bringing British Black people's lived experiences and stories to life in a spoken word and research project?

Using the vast resources of the British Museum you will be researching and bringing alive the story of 12 amazing Black Britons connected to Camden. With the support of the researcher and curator of Camden's Black History exhibition (Oct 2021) you will research and craft a piece of spoken word poetry. Your material will be used and re-produced to create a calendar for 2023 which will be launched in October as part of the celebrations for Camden's Black History Season.
