Photography 2 (on-line)

Do you live for the lens? Do you divide the world in front of you into a series of shots? Do you believe in the power of the photo to tell stories, to educate?

Spend a week working with a professional photographer. The course will cover how to use your camera, composition, lighting and editing, and will give you the opportunity to improve your photographic skills or learn new ones. You'll take photos in which you'll share with the group, build a portfolio of images. We will be editing in Gimp (free to download) so make sure you already have this downloaded and are ready to join in. If you are taking photography at GCSE or A-level or just taking images for your own pleasure, then this is the course for you. Sign up, learn from the experts and become a sharp shooter. You will be able to upload your two favourite images to your account, which we will have printed 8 x 10 and sent to you. There will be a virtual exhibition on Summer University’s website. You will need access to a camera or phone with photographic capability, a pen and paper and to download Gimp (free software). If you do not have access to a computer and Wi-Fi, you can book a place to use a computer at the City Learning Centre in Camden. To book a computer space, email gillian.ingram@camdenlearning.org.uk
