Green Planet - gardening workshop

Our happiness as a species is directly tied to the natural world. Not only does nature give us the means to survive, it also has the power to inspire us and help us find an inner peace.

In fact, nature has such a powerful impact on us that it can return us to good health: hospital patients who have views of gardens and trees recover more quickly than those who don't. If you want to get close to nature, and refresh your mind and body, whilst giving yourself the knowledge and skills to transform a green space, then look no further: this is the course for you. Whilst working with a first-class gardener (accredited by the Royal Horticultural Society), you will create an urban oasis, learning how to design a garden so that it is aesthetically-inspiring, environmentally friendly, and useful for the world and humanity. By the end of the course, you will have gained in-depth knowledge about bee-friendly plants and flowers, about building bird boxes to encourage bird life, and about the steps you need to take to start a vegetable patch. We rely on bees to grow most of the food that we eat, we rely on birds to help sustain our complex ecosystem, and we can rely on ourselves if we learn how to grow our own food. This course is about more than creating an urban oasis and giving a garden a make-over, it is about you and your future. Sign up to start changing the world, one plant at a time, and get ready to get your hands dirty!
