Design for Theatre and Performance
• Learn design skills that can be used in different types of theatre and performance settings.
• Explore backstage areas of London theatres through a variety of tours
• Create your own designed pieces that will be displayed publicly
This exciting and innovative course will allow you to gain hands-on experience and knowledge of the design process used by professionals who work in a variety of creative settings.
With a focus on the area of Camden, this course will also provide a personal connection for yourself with the work you create.
There will be opportunities to tour a variety of London theatre spaces and explore the backstage environments in which performance gets made.
You will be trained by professional performance designers who regularly work in film, television and theatre.
Priority will be given to students who meet any of the following criteria (please indicate on your application if you are eligible): you are or have been in the care of the local authority, you have a disability, you are eligible for free school meals.
