Designing a graphic novel (on-line)

Come along and immerse yourself in the weird and wonderful world of graphic novel storytelling.

Learn how to create characters, build tension, map plots and write a killer ending. Come up with heroes and villains, invent personalities people will love and hate and love to hate. And, as if that wasn't enough, flex your drawing muscles and pick up tricks of the trade - show emotion through facial expression, draw people in action, choose colour schemes and watch your own world spread out on the page. You will need an A4 sketchbook, 5x sheets of A3 printer paper, 2x sheets of A3 card, 1x ruler, 1x pencil, 1x eraser, 1x pencil sharpener, 2x fine liner pens (one thin and one slightly thicker), 1x thick black marker pen and a selection of coloured felt-tip pens. If you are eligible for free school meals, we will post you a pack of materials you'll need for the course.
